Stop by the Kauai Culinary Market

Here on Kauai local farmers take advantage of the tropical climate to grow some impressive and delicious produce. Hawaii may be known primarily for its pineapple but there is so much more to enjoy too. You can find all of the fresh and delicious produce when you stop by the Kauai Culinary Market taking place every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This is not your ordinary farmers market either. This weekly event brings on all things local with Kauai grown and packaged produce and other goods by local vendors. The Beer & Wine Garden has plenty of adult beverages flowing where you can see incredible live chef demonstrations on how to use the island’s fresh food. Live music featuring contemporary Hawaiian music from John & Pali will also be on hand to add to the fun. The Kauai Culinary Market is one of the finest farmers markets you will have ever seen before!

Princeville Night Market

Another exciting market that takes place exclusively here on Kauai is the Princeville Night Market. This monthly event is an evening full of local vendors selling all kinds of items such as hot sauce, handmade soap, paintings and other kinds of art, wood carvings, and so much more. The finest artisans on Kauai take part in the event making it easy to find a unique gift to take back home with home. Make sure you come hungry as a variety of food trucks will also be on hand to provide their delicious food. Dessert vendors also provide sweet treats to help end your meal with. Three different live musicians will be playing throughout the event for plenty of live entertainment. If you prefer to sit down at a restaurant there are plenty within walking distance. Don’t miss out on this exciting event taking place every month at the Princeville Shopping Center.

Book a Plantation Canal Tubing Ride

The fall season around Halloween on Kauai still allows you to get outside and enjoy all of the activities of summer. One of the most exciting is having a tubing ride down one of the local plantation canals. You will be riding down luscious flora for a relaxing experience in the gentle waters. Kauai Backcountry Adventures are able to take you on exclusive rides through sugar cane plantations that only they have access to. You will be given all the gear you need including an inflatable tube and a headlamp for this momentous activity. You will find out why the headlamps are needed when you come across tunnels that are pitch black without them. Now that is getting in the spooky spirit for Halloween! Each tour is approximately three hours long for a half day adventure on Kauai.
