This was our fifth stay at Lae Nani over 20-some years, and #338 is the nicest unit we've had to date. It's pleasantly furnished, with newer pieces, a very comfortable bed, and attractive artwork. The beautiful kitchen has a nice collection of cooking equipment and a good assortment of spices. We SO appreciated having a refrigerator with in-door water and ice. The bedroom a/c was too noisy for us to sleep with, but it was great to cool the room before bedtime, and the big ceiling fan kept us fairly comfortable. Nice, newly renovated bathrooms, with a large and attractive travertine-tile shower. Lae Nani is situated on a small but beautiful beach, with a great lava-rock keiki pool for little ones. The beach also has a natural lava breakwater (complete with spouting lava tube) which allows calm and very safe snorkeling toward the southern end when the tide is low, great for beginners. Swimming and bobbing right in front of Lae Nani feels safe, except when the surf is high. Right next door is Lava Lava, almost on the beach, which we enjoy for breakfast. The Hukilau Lanai, a five-minute walk north, serves a special early-seating dinner, with five courses and five wines for a great price. The nearby Coconut Marketplace provides shopping, quick restaurants, and a twice-weekly farmer's market. We love renting bikes in Kapa'a and riding the five-mile shoreline bike path. It's a fairly level paved ride, with stunning scenery, and is perhaps the best entertainment value on the island. Cindy with Premier Kauai Vacation Rentals was terrific to work with, giving us confidence that all would be well after we had to rebook twice, first when the previous owner died and the unit passed to his son, and again when the son sold the unit. (Many thanks to the new owner, who honored our booking.) Ongoing communications with Cindy/PKVR were timely and clear. We'd happily rent through PKVR again, and Lae Nani #338 would definitely be considered. (We stayed two weeks arriving 10/4/22.)

Lae Nani grounds and facilities were beautiful and so well maintained. Lae Nani staff were silent, respectful and almost invisible - until you needed help -and then they were helpful and knowledgeable. The location was quiet, safe & secure and with easy access to local vendors and hotspots. Unit 338 was so wonderfully decorated and supplied with everything I needed. Many hours were spent on the lanai, especially at breakfast and after sunset.

Beautiful condo, with more than enough space for two. The complex was very peaceful and well maintained in a very quiet community. The balcony was spacious with an unbeatable view of the garden and the ocean. Nice pool area and a short walk to coconut marketplace is a plus. All in all we loved our stay and would come back any time.

Had a great time. Condo was very nice. Only concern was both toilets clogged more than once with very little toilet paper in them. We are both small thin people a large person would have big problems. We just we very careful. Other than that it was excellent!! Hopefully be back again’. Thanks

Fabulous property in Kapaa! Close to the bast bakeries, restaurants, and Coconut Market Place which also has about five great places to eat. The ocean path is right at the edge of the most beautiful grounds around. One of the most amazing and large salt & heated pools I've ever been in except for Sweden!!! The folds who care for the grounds are wonderful. The staff on site are all so kind and inviting. The view from the 3rd floor is amazing! However due to our age and knees a ground floor room will be chosen by us next time. This is our third time at LaeNani, our favorite place to stay on Kauai. Close to everything! Restaurants, the Coconut Market Center and Safeway Shopping Center and Long's drugs. Right next to the bike/walking path and beach! Right next door to Lava Lava a ez restaurant & Bar and music venue! What a wonderful experience we have at Lae Nani! Clean and beautiful experience on Kauai! Mahalo!

We sold our condo in Building 3 at Lae Nani in 2018, so have been renting when we visit Kauai since then. Lae Nani is without doubt the most beautiful property on the Kapaa coast. The gardens are exquisite, again cared for by Eric Dillingham and his wonderful crew. Building 3 is favorably located to catch prevailing trade winds and unit 338 has been recently beautifully redecorated by Cindy Plemer and her husband. The 338 has air conditioning but we didn't need it. The unit is quiet and has a lovely view across the property to the ocean making dining on the balcony a pleasure. We would rent this unit again.

Delightful Condo in Kapaa

What a wonderful stay at Lae Nani 338! The condo was delightfully updated with new appliances, furniture and bathrooms. The view from the large windows adjacent to the deck provided beautiful views of the beach, ocean and nearby mountains. The kitchen was well supplied with tools and appliances. The beach was immediately adjacent to the beautifully manicured condo property and contiguous with beach further to the north and south. Restaurants and shopping were within 5 minutes walk from the condo. The ABC Market in the nearby shopping center has essentially anything you would need for your stay. Additionally, the airport is only 10 minutes away and very easy to navigate. The only negative was that the condo is on the 3rd floor without a elevator leading to some struggles getting our large bags upstairs. This was a minor inconvenience. Also, the beach, though beautiful has some pretty aggressive waves. However, a protected tidal pool on the beach made it easy for the little ones to enjoy the ocean. Overall, I can unequivocally recommend Lae Nani 338 as a wonderful place to base yourself during a trip to beautiful Kauai.

What a well kept gem with really helpful, friendly people. This was our 7th time here, we found everything to be very comfortable, well kept and clean. I love the App for the laundry room as well, it was so easy. We will definitely be back next year for at least one stay, possibly two times. Thanks so much for such a beautiful location with a fabulous pool. And can we just say some of the most incredible men keeping up the landscaping! Wow! One more thing to thank is the housekeeping people that found my husbands catholic cross necklace we left behind, and are mailing it to us. 💖

The property is centrally located to everything the island has to offer. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The view from our unit was amazing. The unit was clean and well furnished with great island decor. We like the property was on the quiet side and very relaxing. This location is perfect for sunrises, beach and pool time, a quick walk to Lava Lava Beach Club for food and drinks, a short walk to the Coconut Marketplace where you can shop and get more groceries! The addition of AC to the unit was just wonderful! The condo is tucked back away from the pool area so it is nice and quiet. We will be back again for our 3rd stay at Lae Nani soon! First of all, this is. beautiful spot. Great view, comfortable bed. No hassles. Why not 5 stars? The living room furniture is in need of an upgrade. The dishwasher worked sometimes, usually--it sometimes quit mid cycle. We like to cook after visiting the Farmer's markets, and the cooking utensils were not first rate, and the culinary knives were very dull, and I could not find a sharpener among the utensils. But a very comfortable and beautiful place to. stay.

Loved staying in #338 and appreciate that we could stay for a late checkout. Great unit - a/c was definitely an added bonus throughout the condo. Thanks for the little things such as the coffee pods and cookies. Very welcoming. Met a couple who have been coming to Lae Nani for 40 years. We could totally see why. Pool was clean and picked up daily. Gardens were lovely. Overall a great experience. Thanks!

Lae Nani 338 a wonderful vacation

So many nice touches in this charming unit. Love the AC, love the profusion of lights, love the modern, clean look throughout. One note, the shower floor is "tiled" with river rock. I think the intent was an invigorating massage to tired soles, but if you have plantar fasciitis (don't ask me how I know) it can be hard on the feet.

Beautiful place, nice decor, great comfortable bed, great views. A/C units in both the living room/dining area and the bedroom which is important. My friends rented a place in building 5 that advertised A/C, but only had 1 unit in 1 of the 2 bedrooms and none in the rest of the unit. Modern kitchen with any appliance you could need. I thought mine would have a washer/dryer but it didn't, which was a little disappointing. That being said, I would definitely stay here again! Again, beautiful unit.

This property was great! The condo was updated, well maintained and well stocked. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The condo was located within a very short walk of three good restaurants and a market. A Safeway was close by. Kapa'a is well situated on the island so that you can take a day trip north and a day trip south. I would absolutely recommend it.

It would be impossible to say enough good things about this property. First, the condo itself was lovely. Updated, well maintained, and well stocked. It is clear that the owners take great pride in this unit. Second, the grounds were amazing. Very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The pool was clean and well situated. Lounge chairs were available to sit on the grass or sand and enjoy the beach. Finally, the condo complex was well located. We spent one day driving north and another day driving south. Were able to see many sights without miserably long days. The complex is also very close to shops and places to eat. Easy walking distance from Lava Lava and then the Coconut shopping area where there were other good restaurants and an ABC store to pick up groceries and other supplies. Safeway was about a mile down the road. The condo is well suited for two people. It says it sleeps four, but I think that would need to involve blow-up mattresses or something. If you are planning a stay on Kaua'i, I highly recommend Kapa'a and this condo complex and unit in particular.

Lovely Third Floor Condo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lae nani. As we are former owners, it felt like coming home with less pressure to do the inevitable fixes required of condo ownership. The kitchen was well appointed with cookware and containers for leftovers There was an array of spices, oil and basalmic vinegar and soy sauce. We particularly enjoyed meals on the balcony lanai. Building 3 is well placed to catch gentle prevailing trade winds. We had no need of air conditioning though this unit has it. Office manager Marjorie is super helpful. And Premier Kauai did a fantastic job of keeping us informed and ready for our visit. Mahalo.

I would not stay at Lae Nani again

It saddens me to give this review. The property is beautiful and the unit was nice. What ruined the experience for me were the people that are full time residents of Lae Nani. They treated myself and my family rudely and definitely made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I have been going to Kauai almost every year for 16 years and have stayed at many properties on the island and have never been made to feel so unwelcome. Also, the incident of the worker entering the unit while I was out and without any notice of their intention to enter the unit was unacceptable and left me feeling unsafe.

We are sorry your sweet daughter was confronted by an owner at Lae Nani. That is unfortunate and should have not happened. Your incident was reported to the association management who will be addressing your concern and has taken steps to make sure it does not happen again. My husband and I stayed at this lovely condo for 10 days and wish we could have stayed longer. The condo was well equipped and the view from the deck was great to wake up to each morning. The beautiful landscaping and grounds are well maintained. The beach area at the condos is a little small, but still usable and never crowded. You can take a short walk to Waipouli Beach and the Lava Lava Beach restaurant. The location of this condo is another reason we stayed here, since it is close to the middle of the island and ideal for exploring the North and South shores. Communication with the management company was easy and quick. We can't wait to go back soon!

The condo was easy to book, available and clean when we arrived, and a great location with beautiful views. The condo did get hot in the afternoon with the sun coming in, but they were installing AC upon our departure, so that problem should be solved! Great food and coffee nearby. 100% we would return!!

An absolute WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL place to stay!! My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Kauai and stayed at Lae Nani Resort. We loved how close it was to the beach and how decorative and personal the condo was set up. It was equipped with everything we needed during our vacation, which made things so much easier on us!! The only thing that would’ve made our stay better would be if there were air conditioning in the living room instead of only the bedroom because it gets quite hot and stuffy during the day. Otherwise, it was PERFECT! We will definitely be back!

Third floor so it was a little warm at first but once we opened all the windows there was a nice breeze coming through. Portable air conditioner in the bedroom was nice

My only complaint was there was only air conditioning in the bed room so it got hot during the day in the living room. Other than that, it was a great stay! Highly recommend this Lae Nani condo!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I never got tired of sitting out on the lanai with its lovely ocean view. The grounds are well maintained with an expansive lawn, beautiful plants and flowers. The condo itself is a spacious one-bedroom with one and a half baths. We found the bed very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary pots, pans, dishes etc. There was a minor plumbing problem when we arrived, but the management was very responsive and quickly resolved it. We were pleased by the pool which is a good size for swimming, unlike most places. It's a nice walk to a nearby market with a decent selection to stock up on the basics. There are a few restaurants within walking distance which we thought were excellent. Also, it's fun to go to the local farmers market for wonderful fruit and locally made treats. Lydgate beach is a short drive away; it's beautiful, has nice shady areas, protected swimming areas for kids and is great for taking long walks. If you like biking, there's a good bike rental place in Kapaa which is right near the coastal trail. It's a mostly flat ride with great scenery. We also made use of the provided snorkel gear and small cooler for our picnic lunches. No need to bring a guidebook, there are several in the cabinet under the TV. Lae Nani is in a great location on the island as you can go north or south for day trips without spending all day in the car. Lastly, we want to highly recommend the Na Pali Catamaran tour from Hanalei, which was the highlight of our time on this gorgeous island. Enjoy your stay!

After 30 years of visiting Kauai, we have finally found the perfect location to stay. Room 338 offered us a spacious, spotless and airy condominium complemented by a beautiful view of the gardens and ocean. Every detail of the condo had been well thought to afford a terrific holiday. Quality furniture, tasteful decorations, a comfortable large bedroom, good linens and a well stocked kitchen, which allowed us to eat in every night on the lanai overlooking the beautiful scenery, made for a perfect dreamy vacation. Added to that a large heated pool and a world class garden in every direction. We returned home rested and ready to make another reservation. This is by far the best place to stay in Kauai for the perfect vacation! Mahalo

In many ways it exceeded our expectations

We were drawn to this property by the photos of the ocean view from the balcony, the idyllic setting of the grounds and the quality of the facilities inside the unit. The property was exactas described and in many ways it exceeded our expectations. The unit has everything that you need to enjoy a perfect vacation in Kauai. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was extremely well equipped and had lots of extras in the cupboards like spices, food containers for picnics, food wraps etc which avoided us having to buy these. It was very breezy during our stay (beginning of March) so we rarely used the air conditioner in the bedroom. The Smart TV allowed us to enjoy Netflix and Prime in the evenings. We also appreciated the outdoor items which were supplied such as picnic cooler, beach chairs and snorkeling equipment. The grounds of Lae Nani are beautifully maintained, the saltwater pool was warm with lots of lounging beds on the pool deck. It's easy to walk along the beach into the local shopping areas and cafes- breakfast at The Lava Lava Beach Club was delicious with a direct beach front view; watch out for the birds who will try to steal the food right off your plate! Cindy was a great host to deal with. She responded quickly to emails and self check-in/checkout was easy. Highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay. The view from the Lanai is fantastic, great for coffee in the morning. Furniture and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was quite adequate. Other condos in which we stayed were stocked better with spices and cooking supplies, this may be more dependent on what was left by previous guests. But it was very adequate. We would stay here again. You are on the third floor and there is no elevator, which we knew up front. This bothered us mostly on taking our luggage up the two flights of stairs on our arrival, not during the stay so much. Exercise is good.

This was a lovely condo with a beautiful view of the water, small beach, pool and well-kept grounds/gardens. We were on the 3rd floor with a wonderful balcony. We were close to Coconut Marketplace with wonderful little shops and close to the grocery and drug stores. We would definitely recommend this property as it was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the only air conditioning was in the bedroom which we knew in advance, however it did get very hot in the living area in the afternoon with the sun shining directly in the windows even with the curtains closed.

Location, location, location!

While it was hot and humid on our early August visit, the beach access, market access, kindness of the locals, and wildlife/tidepools really made our stay at Lae Nani magical. The lodgings were clean and comfortable. The resort is very family-friendly, which means we should be back with our whole family sooner than later! I will never forget this vacation-best of my life to date, and we didn't even need a rental car to experience this most amazing location! Thank you for taking care of us on our first trip to Hawaii.

The location was incredible, on a beach you won't want to leave, right in the heart of all the best food on Kauai, and in between both north and south shore beaches. Our Vacation Too Short!

Our stay on Kauai was of course too short, but magical nonetheless. This condo and property was better than expected. Everything in the condo was clean and well-appointed, not like some Hawaiian condos that have out-of-date or dilapidated furnishings and decor... We arrived early and couldn't check in until just a few minutes before the established check-in time, and I can't fault them for that, but know if you're arriving early there is no where to put your luggage so you have to decide if you want to take your stuff around with you or just bide your time. Alternatively, come prepared to jump in the ocean or the pool (but know there are no changing rooms or restrooms available...). The property changed hands twice prior to our arrival due to a death in the family of the previous owner, so we had to rebook the same condo each time. This was a bit of a hassle (but understandable given the situation); the condo is now under a property management company and they were great to work with, very responsive and clear in comms. The property overall is well-maintained, gated (with public walk-in access to the beach), with a large pool, open grounds for activities, shared bbqs, and a small but excellent beach. The beach has a nice little kiddie pool that has been created with encircling rocks, which fills and empties with the tides so its as clean as the ocean but accessible for the little groms and non-swimmers. There's a marketplace nearby with an upscaled ABC market and numerous restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk, and a small farmers market there on Tuesdays and Thursdays, great spot to pick up some fresh local produce. A little farther walk (10-15 minutes) for a Safeway and other stores/restos.. All around, a great stay! I would definitely stay here again. Date of arrival - July 24, 2022
