Q: How do I book a vacation rental with Premier Kauai?
A: You can book directly through our website at www.premierkauai.com or contact us for personalized service. Booking direct ensures the best rates and no hidden third-party fees.
Q: Is there a minimum night stay requirement?
A: Most of our properties require a 3-to-5 night stay. This may vary by unit and season.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: For direct bookings: Cancellations made at least 60 days prior to arrival receive a full refund, minus a $75 non-refundable reservation fee.
For third-party bookings (Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.): Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to arrival are fully refundable. No cancellation fee is charged by Premier Kauai, though platform-specific terms may apply.
In both cases, cancellations within 30 or 60 days of arrival are non-refundable unless we are able to rebook the dates.
Property Information
Q: Do your units have air conditioning?
A: Many of our units offer A/C, while other use natural trade winds and ceiling fans. Check the unit description for details.
Q: Is there a washer and dryer in the unit?
A: Laundry access varies by property. Here’s a breakdown:
- Wailua Bay View – In-unit washer and dryer
- Hale Awapuhi, Lanikai – In-unit washer and dryer
- Kaha Lani, Lae Nani – Laundry facilities on-site, if not in unit
- Kapaa Sands – Coin-operated laundry room on property
- Plantation Hale – Coin-operated laundry in each building
- Islander On The Beach – No laundry access; nearest is Laundromat Express in Kapaa
Q: Is smoking allowed in or around the property?
A: All of our units are non-smoking. This includes lanais and common areas. Kauai County Law also prohibits smoking within 20 feet of entrances, exits, windows, or ventilation systems of any public building.
Location & Amenities
Q: How far are your rentals from the airport?
A: Most of our East Side rentals are 10-15 minutes from Lihue Airport.
Q: Do you provide beach gear?
A: Many units include beach chairs, towels, and coolers. Umbrellas are not provided, but you can rent beach gear from:

Q: Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
A: These requests are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please text or call us once you land on island. Fees may apply if approved.
Payments & Fees
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept all credit cards. An initial payment of 50% is due at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to check-in.

Q: Can you help us plan activities during our stay?
A: Yes! While we don’t book directly, we partner with Kauai Vacation Activities. Contact Sonja at sonja@kauaiva.com for help booking luaus, tours, and adventures.
Q: What should we do if it rains?
A: Visit indoor attractions like the Kilohana Train Ride, Lihue Bowling Alley, or local museums. Avoid flooded roads and tune into KONG Radio 93.5 FM or Hawaii News Now for weather updates.
