Property was very clean. And comforable.
Husband said the pull out couch was the most comforable one he's ever slept in! (He snores REALLY bad, so he got the couch :), I got the bed.
#1 memory ~ a trip over to Ni'ihau!!! Used Ni'ihau Helicopters. They were incredible. Dana, the pilot was a lot of fun. I even found a couple of Ni'ihau shells :)
Other then the 'tree trimming' delays (in every direction), traffic wasn't too bad.
We love this property ... have stayed here 3-4 times now.

We have stayed at the Wailua Bay View numerous times but this was by far our favorite experience! The condo was extremely well-kept, the mattress was comfortable, the refrigerator had an ice and water dispenser, the beach items (cooler and towels) came in so handy, and the view really could not be beat. We will be planning our next trip and hopefully staying here again next year!

We loved the condo. The view was amazing and the location was outstanding. We arrived not feeling well and spent more time in the condo than anticipated; I can't imagine a better place to recuperate!!! The supplies were ample, the kitchen appliances were relatively new and excellent, and the counters and sink strategically placed for cooking and cleaning with a view. Great tv options. And the outdoor seating was perfect. Extremely clean and comfortable. I read numerous reviews prior to booking this condo and can easily dismiss some comments. There were no homeless people only families and surfers enjoying the neighboring beach. They were fun to watch as they surfed and enjoyed the water. One had to crane your neck to see the abandoned building next door; it did not attract visitors. And the constant sound of the surf and beauty kept one's attention focused in that direction…not on neighboring roads. This condo unit is so much closer to the ocean/bay than other accommodations and offers expansive views!! We are definitely returning!

We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb in Kauai! The view from the property was absolutely stunning — waking up to the ocean and lush landscape every morning felt like a dream. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to beach gear, which made our stay super convenient and comfortable. The pool was a major highlight — clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The location was also ideal — close to everything we wanted to see and do, but still felt private and serene. The only minor downside was Wailua beach directly in front of the property, which wasn't the best for swimming, lots of drift wood and rough water. However, just a short walk was the beautiful Lae Nani beach with an amazing lagoon that totally made up for it. Overall, we loved our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, scenic, and well-located place to stay in Kauai!

Very nice, well maintained, roomy kitchen and living area. Nice balcony, nice views. Bathroom and bedroom are also ample. Nice snorkeling equipment and other beach items also stocked. The apt and the building overall are older, I'm guessing 20 to 25 years old or more, so the countertops, kitchen cabinets and appliances all look antiquated, but again all is in good condition. A/C works well in the bedroom but since it is so old, it is loud, klunky,takes up too much space, and probably costs the admin a fortune in electricity every month, it's also not strong enough to cool the entire condo so you might find yourself with a cold bedroom and a warm muggy living room. The living room is carpeted, which I'm not a fan of, but it was clean. The beach had way more driftwood and stuff on it than appears in the original pictures I saw, so the beach didn't appear to be as "attractive" in person as it was in the pictures. And there is some road noise from the 4 lane highway right next door to the property, though I have to admit in spite of there being 4 lanes, the road noise wasn't that bad, and you don't notice it that much as the waves are constant 24/7 from the nearby beach. However there is also a run down structure next door that looks like it's literally falling apart, and it's not apparent that anything is being done to remove the eyesore. However, to be fair, the building might not belong to WBV thus they may not be in a position to address it effectively. I'd stay here again. Date of arrival - August 21, 2025

The pictures were 100% accurate of the way the place looked. Except one; the picture on the site of the lanai (balcony) did NOT capture the breathtaking view we had in person. The view alone was worth the cost of the room. I spent 2hrs most mornings reading and enjoying the view and sound of the waves. The crashing waves drowned out almost any road noise from the road near by, it felt like we were the only ones on the property. I would stay here every time if the place was big enough for us and our 3 kiddos. For a couples trip, it could not have been a better place! My only critique is that the A/C is a little loud, but GRATEFUL to have the A/C! Loved the place!

Amazing views and great location! Was surprised there was no elevator, so dealing with heavy luggage was a challenge. The place is a bit dated but clean and fairly comfortable. There were some issues with the WiFi, but they were quick to find a solution that worked while the cable company could get there on a holiday week. No complaints!

The condo was clean and very well decorated, with an amazing view of the bay. The coconut marketplace, Islander shops, and Lava Lava beach club restaurant a short walk away were great. The Kapaa multi use path alongside the ocean further north helped us spend more time enjoying the coast without being in a car, and the nearby hikes and Hindu Monastery made for some great adventures.

The space felt bigger than the pictures and so did the view! We very much enjoyed our stay. The bed was super comfortable, all the kitchen things we needed, lots of clean towels and beach gear to use. The pool was great for when we needed some down time. The complex was very pretty, clean and quiet. Bonus: it's right across the street from Nepali Brewery, just 5 min from an easy access waterfall, and lots of shops and food about 10 min north.

I have stayed in various units at WBV for many years so I have a good frame of reference. Unit 207 was not one of the better ones. First the replacement windows in the bedroom are clear so NO privacy 24/7 if the curtains are open. The curtains are bad design don't close properly so we had to clip them together to keep the light out. The normal design of frosted louvered windows far superior. The window in the entrance door needs a shade, the bright light outside lit up the hallway outside the bedroom door so we had to keep the bedroom door closed for darkness. Also the bedroom has a slight odor to it. Otherwise this unit is average in decor and amenities. Would not choose 207 to stay in again! Managers Response:

I have to admit that when I first arrived I was worried about the highway but that did not affect the stay as much as I first thought. The location overall is wonderful, it is close to many things and the beach access is just on the side of the building. We had the entire beach to ourselves most of the time and views from this location are amazing! The condo was very clean and comfortable and the pool was also a wonderful place to relax. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day. Thank you for providing a wonderful vacation rental.

Aloha, we would highly recommend the Wailua Bay Condominiums for your stay in Kauai. Conveniently located in Kapaa, really the middle of the island and you can get to anywhere within 45 minutes. We stayed in unit #207, located on the second floor with great views of the ocean. The complex can be a little noisy, but very clean and pleasant. My spouse and I both agreed the condo was great. It has a fun eclectic vintage flair w many original features still intact. Clean and exactly as described and very comfortable. the owners have seen to every possible perk you might need including beach equipment and snorkel gear. That being said the location in Kapaa was not our favorite place we stayed on Kauai. It is close to the airport which made leaving great however there is a current nightly construction project on the main highway that runs past the condo which is loud. There is also a former hotel building that is very much in need of being torn down which is an eyesore along w the same condition of a previous restaurant. We understood both properties have many in many years of litigation due to decide what to do w them. Neither of these things are controllable by the property owners of the condo and the construction should be done in the future.

We arrived at night, and when we opened the front door, we were greeted by the sound of crashing waves. Early the next morning, we finally got to see the full view off the lanai and it was even better than the pictures! The rental space had everything we needed on hand, including a few helpful leftovers from previous guests that helped us get through until we could go to the store--a small bit of coffee and some fresh local fruit, too. The space is well-loved and the location served as a great jumping off point for our first time explorations of Kauai. My only very minor issue had nothing to do with the property--there were a few questionable characters who seemed to be living on the beach (one w/ a machete that I think/hope was for coconuts) and/or hanging out at the gas station nearby, especially later in the evenings. We had no direct issues (we're from a pretty urban area) but it's good to be aware if you plan to walk alone near the property after dark. This a beautiful condo with a great view, the place is well maintained and we had no issues during our stay. We have loved the sound of crashing waves each day, the kitchen is well equipped if you want to prepare a meal and it is very convenient location to travel to other parts of the island. We had a great stay at Wailua bay room 207 Kauai. The room was very clean and neat and the ocean view was awesome. The pool and grounds were also very well kept and clean. Management was very accommodating and proactive with any question. We would stay here again for sure.

We were very happy with our stay here. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like the photos. Beach equipment such as chairs and snorkel gear was provided which was super useful during our time on the island. The best part was the location - the property is literally right next to the water and we had an amazing ocean view from the balcony. Definitely recommend staying here!

This condo has beautiful views, from the lanai you have the ocean, and from the front balcony a mountain view. It is within walking distance to several places to eat. The central location is perfect if you are wanting to be able to explore multiple parts of the island. The condo itself is stocked with all the comforts of home which allowed us to cook several meals. We love that they have snorkel equip, plenty of towels, beach chairs, and even a small cooler for the beach. The only thing missing was a hot tub to relax at after a long day. Some reviewers mention road noise. This was never an issue for us in this particular unit.

We loved this place! Inside the condo is older and seems due an update, however; it was spotless, comfortable, and quite accommodating. Everything was just as expected and the view was excellent. We had coffee outside each morning and watched the sun make its way up over the waters. The location of this condo is basically in the middle of the island, which I highly recommend, therefore all areas are easy to reach. Thanks for a great 6 nights!
Ideal central location for everything!

Property was exactly as listed. We were a little nervous when we saw all of the road construction upon arrival, however you really couldn't hear it once in the unit. Just enough space for the two of us, amenities included were SO appreciated. Parking was safe and secure. Located right next to a cafe we absolutely adored and went back to time and time again. Only regret was not booking a longer stay! Will be back!

The only downside is the traffic noise while sleeping with the bedroom windows open. Other than that it was a great place with all we needed, washer/dryer in unit is real bonus. Property manager Mark was wonderful.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this condo while in Kauai. The condo had everything we needed and the location was perfect for our excursions. The view was absolutely gorgeous and the sound of the Ocean was hypnotizing! Everyone that we had contact with was pleasant and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this location if you are visiting Kauai.

I'm glad that we chose this location for our trip to Kauai. It is centrally located and easy to travel north or south without having to spend too much time in the car. We loved having the beach practically to ourselves the entire time. The road noise and sirens are loud with the main road on the island being so close, but still so very worth it! The ONLY thing we didn't like was the bed. We definitely would like a softer bed.

We had wonderful stay at the Wailua Bay View condos. We got in late and the check in process was very easy and straightforward. The property was clean and very welcoming: Hawaiian music playing in the background and the sound of waves coming from the back deck. It was a great central location and we found it easy to walk and drive to all the locations we wanted to visit. The bedroom does face a Shell station, but we rarely had much noise overnight even with the windows cracked. In the end, we spent the most time sitting on the back deck watching the waves, seals, and sometimes surfers. It was always a beautiful view. The condo was equipped with great beach gear including chairs, snorkels, and towels. We were thankful to have these extras during our stay! We had a fabulous stay and are hopeful to return for another trip soon!

VIEW VIEWS VIEWS! Great condo! Directly overlooking the stunning bay. Amazing location! Walking distance to the beach, enjoyed the well equipped kitchen for cooking in and enjoy the views. Downside is the traffic noise, you can see the main highway and hear the noise into the night. There are only stairs, which is normally great, but with surfboards and luggage made it a little challenging.

The owner and manager of this unit could teach the master class on vacation rentals. It is everything one wants when staying in a place away from home. Super clean, very friendly and helpful people on site, all the amenities as advertised. Love the little details like binoculars for whale watching (we saw many from the lanai), snorkeling gear (great snorkeling beaches nearby), guidebook, and beach chairs to name just a few. The bed is comfortable. The pool clean and inviting. BBQ grills functioning and available. It is across the street from a very nice bakery/coffee shop (Passion Bakery) and a short walk to many outstanding places to eat (Russels, Sleeping Giant, Ravishes, and the Lava Lava Beach Club). Grocery stores are minutes away in the car. Trailheads for some fun hikes are close and beautiful beaches everywhere. View is marvelous. The only knock on the place is that it is right on the highway and though the sound of the surf predominates, an occasional Harley rumbling by alters the mood for a flash. The view from the deck does include the long lines of bumper to bumper traffic in the mornings and evenings. Across the highway sits the abandoned and decaying remains of the once iconic Coco Palms Resort (Yay Elvis!) which bring a bit of a run down vibe to the area. These last things were small things to us, and we only mention them in the interest of full disclosure. Overall, we loved this place and highly recommend it.

The location is nice and central but traffic noise and congestion a small issue. Access to beach is great and restaurants and shops within walking distance is a plus. Management at unit was friendly and helpful and it is evident they care about their property with pride. The actual unit was well stocked but could certainly use a little updating in the bathroom, and kitchen. All said, very comfortable stay.

Wailua Beach view was excellent. The views were amazing, the location allowed quick access to the west/east/north coast, the unit was clean and the staff on site were extremely friendly. The king bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The only issue we had was with the wifi - it was weak and sometimes cut out. I would recommend the owners put a booster in the bedroom as well. But this is definitely a place I would recommend to everyone. You cannot beat the view or the location.

Location, location, location! WBV was perfect for our stay. The view from the unit was amazing. Upon arrival the unit was tidy and clean. There were bough towels and supplies for our stay. The only negative was that the wifi was weak and sometimes it would stop working. It would be good to have a booster in the bedroom.
The staff on site was kind and courteous as well.

We stayed at this beautiful unit for 4 nights and felt right at home. The location of the unit is impeccable offering the most beautiful ocean view. The unit comes with ceiling fans, ac unit for the bedroom, washer & dryer and the lanai is spacious. We enjoyed our morning coffees watching the ocean very much. The unit is also very clean. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends!

We are in early 80s and we're on 2nd floor, no elevators, only inconvenience with one large luggage View and unit with one bedrm just right Nice beach for walking mostly, pool for swimming Check for St work behind unit, sometimes noisy at all hours, but just close louvers Kauai you have to learn to enjoy its beauty, quietness Would rather be there than other islands

It was 12 minute drive to the airport. The apartment was very well kept, clean, and had all the essentials. This is definitely a recommended stay and will return stay when visiting again. 5 Stars
